Real Wedding Stories in Minneapolis
When you think about the perfect Minnesota summer wedding, what comes to mind? A beautiful couple, the sun shining off the water and a loving group of family and friends? Yep – us too.
Michael & Hannah came into our shop immediately following Michael’s proposal. Hannah actually stopped into our small jewelry store to have the engagement ring (a family heirloom from Michael’s side of the family) sized to fit her and polished like brand new. Naturally we turned the ring around in lightning time, it took just 24 hours to size and polish the engagement ring so that the newly engaged couple could show it off to friends and family.
As we got to know Hannah and Michael over the next several months, we realized how true their love was for each other. Their summer wedding in Stillwater, MN perfectly represents their relationship and the close-knit bond that is so genuine and clear for us, as their jewelers, to see. Hannah’s bubbly personality and Michael’s quiet demeanor off-set each other in the best possible way. I love how Michael looks at Hannah when she isn’t paying close attention – you can tell, all he sees is her.

The Engagement Rings
When it came to choosing the perfect wedding bands for the star-struck couple it was important not to upstage Hannah’s antique heirloom engagement ring. We decided on a petite shared prong diamond band that slips effortlessly behind her antique ring. Hannah wanted the ability to wear it alone or together with her engagement ring – either way, it looks absolutely beautiful. Michael wanted to go old school with his ring – 14 karat yellow gold reminded him of his father’s wedding band and he wanted to keep the tradition alive. We engraved a special phrase from Hannah to Michael on the inside of the ring as a surprise for the groom on his wedding day.

The wedding day was a hot sunny July day and with the sun glinting off the water and the ceremony couldn’t have been more beautiful with the Stillwater drawbridge as a dramatic backdrop. Family and friends celebrated on the water and back at the nearby reception location. Hannah looked absolutely stunning in her on-trend low-back lace dress and Michael was equally dapper in his navy suit.

Wishing our newlyweds only the best in the adventures life will bring. We will always be here for you guys – jewelry-related needs and otherwise! Congratulations!!
