Real Weddings in Minneapolis
When it comes to our latest couple, there is one phrase, and one phrase only, that comes to mind, ‘young and in love.’ Kate and Cain have, and will continue to be, the epitome of this phrase as long as their lives allow. We first met Kate and Cain when they found their way to our small shop in the busy Minneapolis skyway. Just college students, they didn’t have a massive budget to spend on a beautiful engagement ring, but what their budget lacked, their ring made up for in modern simplicity that makes her ring absolutely breath-taking. Set in white gold, her princess cut solitaire grades high on the color and clarity scales, one glance and her ring sparkles in a way that makes you forget about the lack of side stones 😉 A solitaire-wearer myself, this is the go-to design that I recommend to anyone engagement ring shopping. In contrast, Cain’s hammered-finish on his wedding band adds a touch of masculinity to make the wedding band all-his-own.

I cannot stress how picturesque Kate and Cain’s wedding turning out, Katie is absolutely breathtaking in her full tulle skirt. Not to be out-done, Cain looks handsome and dapper in his navy suit and bow tie. Katie planned everything down to the last detail, as most brides would have it these days, and rightly so. When I asked Katie about her interpretation of their love story, she recounted all the way back to the day Cain proposal to her during that ethereal morning sunrise. Every moment since then on was a dream, right up to the wedding day, September 12, 2015. In honor of their one-year anniversary, I had to share their love story and their wedding day in hopes of spreading the love and compassion that Kate and Cain share with the rest of Minneapolis – and beyond.
Their first look was nothing short of magical. It’s funny how when you’re with a person, you become accustomed to seeing them everyday – but the first look is really something special that any modern day bride and groom should be sure to schedule into their big day. For those that don’t know, the first look is when the bride and groom first see each other on their wedding day. Most schedule the first look just prior to the ceremony, and it gives the bride and groom a private moment to themselves before they go before friends and loved ones to say their vows. You can see the anticipation on both Cain and Katie’s faces in this shot, captured by Brandis Alves Photography.

The first year is officially in the books for Katie and Cain. We know their marriage will be as magical as their wedding day and we are here to help them, both as friends, and as their jewelers – for the rest of their lives. Katie has some very kind words to say about their experience with us,
“(When we were) certain we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, we began searching for the engagement ring that could do our feelings justice: simple but breathtaking. When we found Gittelson Jewelers in downtown Minneapolis, we were blown away by every last detail. They had the perfect diamond, a custom ring plan, and most importantly, an unbelievably genuine and caring trio of people at our service: Eugene, Molly and Mike made us feel like family and put our minds at ease. Helping Cain create the perfect engagement ring for his ethereal sunrise proposal and helping both of us decide which bands to exchange on our wedding day, their character and dependability at every step of our journey stole our hearts (and business) forever, making every moment before, on, and after September 12th, 2015 a dream come true”.
Katie and Cain, we couldn’t be happier that you two found each other. Whether working out at the gym or studying for exams – you two support and compliment each other in the best possible way. We wish you all the best in your marriage and we know that your future shines as bright as your diamond and as your love for each other.
