Kaylee & John: Part 2
Real Wedding Stories. John and Kaylee met in January, 2011 during their internships at Ernst and Young. John and Kaylee got to know each other better during EY’s International Internship Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida later that year. On the return trip back from the conference, John and Kaylee volunteered to get “bumped” to a later flight to receive a flight voucher! Little did they know then, they would use those vouchers a few months later to take a trip to Mexico – together!
Kaylee finished her senior year of college while John started his career at EY. After graduation, Kaylee moved to Minneapolis to start her career at EY. They continued exploring together – Jamaica, Playa Del Carmen, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas. The couple also takes an annual cabin trip up to the Traynor’s cabin in Ely, MN. When at home, they entertain frequently for friends and family at their apartment in the St. Anthony Main area in Minneapolis!
On September 3, 2016, John popped the question at the end of the dock at the Traynor’s cabin at Moose Lake. You can read more about Kaylee & Johns’s Real Engagement Store here.

The Jeweler’s Perspective
If this couple doesn’t make you want to tie the knot – nothing will! All kidding aside, Kaylee and John’s picture-perfect Minneapolis wedding day is one for the books. A follow up to their Real Engagement Story, this Gittelson Jewelers couple was married on a beautiful September day.
We love how their photographer, Flow Event Group, captured the moment and the light perfectly on their special day! Can you believe Kaylee was involved with the wedding planning all while working internationally during a big chunk of their engagement? No rest for the weary! We must say, she pulled the big day off flawlessly, with the help of a few Minneapolis vendors of course!

While Kaylee had custom wedding rings made by us, the flowers, dress, wedding makeup and hair, wedding planner and bridal gown were all purchased or handled by small business based in Minneapolis! Her flowers, a soft and feminine color palette of blush and ivory really highlight the romantic lace design of her dress, featuring a long cathedral train and a single layer veil in the same color tone as her wedding dress.
The groom’s attire was looking sharp as well. John was in a cobalt blue suit and light pastel button down, which is picked up nicely in the color palette of the flowers, invitations, bridesmaid gowns etc. Plus, check out the photography location at Minneapolis’ beautiful Stone Arch bridge and in Northeast Minneapolis at a park nearby to the their reception venue; Minneapolis Event Centers.

Infused with Minneapolis
Kaylee’s wedding hair and makeup were handled by local vendor WarPaint International, in which they helped Kaylee with a beautiful, natural wedding day glow. WPI’s founder, Jessica Mae, was Kaylee’s personal makeup artist.
Now, Kaylee did handle a lot of the wedding planning but also enlisted the help of a few wedding planning services to ensure that her day went off without a hitch. In this modern day and age, working and planning a wedding often leaves a bride feeling overwhelmed. It’s good to enlist the help of professionals who know just what to do in terms of designing your day or handling a specific task like jewelry, makeup or color scheme. Kaylee’s wedding band is the exact matching band to her engagement ring that features a slew of pavé diamonds set into a halo design. The diamonds in the halo are just slightly larger intentionally to highlight her beautiful center diamond. The pavé diamonds in her wedding band match up perfectly to the pave set diamonds in her engagement ring and is also set in 18kt yellow gold – it’s a perfect match!
Matching wedding bands are a great option as they play into the design of the engagement ring without overwhelming the star of the show – the center diamond.

Check out that view of downtown Minneapolis! The Stone Arch bridge off to the left hand side and the lush greenery in the foreground really make it known why Minneapolis is known as the ‘City of Lakes.’
When asking Kaylee about the wedding day, her face lights up like the lights in the Minneapolis skyline.
It couldn’t have been more perfect!
We couldn’t be happier for the newlyweds, they are truly one of the kindest, most genuine couples we have ever had the pleasure of helping tie the knot! Such a bright future ahead for the newly Mr. & Mrs.
