Our special customers, Tim and Amber, exemplified all of these characteristics and more, on their wedding day. It is crazy to think that we were involved with the happy couple from beginning to end when it comes to their nuptials - time really does fly by! Tim is the nicest guy; we vividly remember the first day he visited our store. Conveniently, he worked in the next building over from our small store so it was only natural that he would check us out when he began the process of engagement ring shopping. We hadn't met Amber yet, but we knew she had to be a special woman to have captured Tim's attention. He was so excited to pick out a ring that Amber would wear for the rest of her life. After much discussion about her preferences, his timeline, and budget - we picked out the perfect engagement ring. Since we custom design nearly all of our engagement rings from scratch, we had a stunning center diamond picked out and the perfect mounting. But we were absolutely shocked when we saw the completed ring! This was when I finally got to meet Amber in person, and she is just as fun and as bubbly as her photo would have you believe. We talked about everything from her destination wedding plans in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to her beautiful dress and their plans for wedding bands. Amber and Tim decided on Eau Claire, Wisconsin as their destination wedding location because it is exactly half-way between both of their hometowns. They had a medium-to-large size wedding and they wanted to accommodate as many people as possible so that both sides of the family could attend. Since wedding band trends are so varied today, there was some discussion as to which wedding band would be best to pair with Amber's gorgeous engagement ring. We looked at a lot of options, but ultimately, ended up coming back to the micro-pave set band which matches the style of her engagement ring to a 'T'. All in total, there is around 1.50 carat total weight of beautiful round and micro-pave set diamonds that are set in a halo design. The diamonds in the halo are larger than the diamonds on the sides of the band, which really makes her center diamond 'pop'! Tim opted for a heavyweight 14kt white gold band with satin and shiny finish that is the perfect combination of dressy and casual. We engraved the inside of the band, complimentary, as a surprise from the bride to his groom on the wedding day. Amber decided on engraving Timber and their wedding date of 7.16.16. "Timber" is their "celebrity name" - it is the first letter of Tim's name and the sound of Amber's name combined together like the couple nicknames that celebrities in the tabloids receive. ![Real Wedding Stories: Tim and Amber](https://gittelsonjewelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/ambertim1.jpg) To continue with the "Timber" theme, Amber and Tim surprised their guests with a choreographed first dance to Timber by Kesha. They are goofy and fun-loving and every step of their wedding planning process reflected this! However, their engagement ring and wedding bands are no joke - these are personalized to them and the quality is second-to-none. We couldn't have helped them picked a better symbol of their relationship and their marriage and we are just so happy to call Amber & Tim our customers!
